BHP is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to support mine-planning and underground coal-mining operations at Broadmeadow Mine in Queensland's Bowen Basin.
Responsibilities include providing geotechnical advice for mine plans, supporting strata-control and ground-control plans, investigating geotechnical risks, developing risk-mitigation recommendations, maintaining hazard records and working with operational teams to support safe mining activities.

Relevant tertiary qualification in Geotechnical Engineering.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience of underground coal-mining operations.
Strong analytical, technical and report-writing skills.
Ability to work with operational teams and manage technical risks.
Experience with VULCAN, Deswik, AutoCAD or LVA is advantageous.
